Guidelines for Each Day
Saturday
- A contestant may come in at any time during the three hours and work on a piece for submission
- If the contestant wishes to leave for a different event and return they may leave their work with a volunteer, but if it is not turned in as copleted by the end of the event it will NOT be judged
- Coloring of the drawings is neither expected nor encouraged
- Pieces will be judged on relation to the prompt, artistic abilities, and portrayal of the characters
- Prompts will be announced the day of, references will be provided
- Judges will be announced at a later date
Sunday
- Contestants must be in the door and seated at the start of the event and must stay until the end
- 4 prompts will be given with 15 minutes to draw each; references will be provided
- Winners will be chosen based on the quality of all 4 pieces submitted, based on artistic ability, portrayal of the characters, and relation to the prompts
- This event is designed to test the ability to draw under pressure, so it is not expected that any of the pieces will be perfect
- Coloring of the drawings is neither expected nor encouraged
- Prompts will be announced at the beginning of each quick round
- Judges will be announced at a later date
