What is FreeCon?

FreeCon is a free yearly anime, video game, and enthusiast convention that is held on the beautiful Florida State University campus. The convention runs anywhere between two to three days on a particular weekend, and thousands of people attend. Join us and be part of the experience!

What Date/Time is FreeCon?

Freecon will take place on March 9th through the 10th of 2019. Saturday, the 9th, FreeCon will go from 10am-10:30pm. Sunday, the 10th, FreeCon will go from 10am-6pm. We hope to see you there!

Where is Freecon?

This year, FreeCon 15 will still be held on the Florida State University campus, but not in the Union, instead it will be held between the Student Services Building and the Globe. General parking will be in the Traditions garage, which is right off of Traditions Way, which transitions from S. Woodward Ave. For your GPS, our physical address is 874 Traditions Way, Tallahassee, FL 32306. Our building is attached to the parking garage, so you can get to Registration right through the first floor doors connecting the garage and building. Upon arrival at the convention, attendees will check in at the first floor of the SSB or in the first floor of the Globe. You will receive a map of FreeCon's other spaces there.

If you would like to be a panelist this year, you can fill out an application by scrolling to the top of this page, and finding 'Panel Registration' under the 'Registration' tab.

Registration for Artists and Vendors has closed for the year, but check back around October for information regarding applying for next year's con.

When is the Dealer's Room Open?

Vendor and Artist move-in will be 4pm-10pm Friday. This means that only the vendors and artists can enter the room at this time in order for them to set up. The Dealer's Room will be open to the public from 11am-8pm on Saturday, and 11am-5pm on Sunday.

How Can I Help FreeCon Out?

If you'd like to help out by volunteering your time and manpower, we'd love to hear from you! Under the 'Registration' tab at the top of this website, you will find 'Volunteer Registration', which will let us know your availability. We do offer volunteer hours if you're a student, and t-shirts!

This year's fundraising has come to an end, and thanks to the many supporters that contributed to our convention, we can make FreeCon 15 that much better. We are not currently accepting any more donations through our Indiegogo. If you have any specific questions please check our contact page to get in touch with a representative.

What Do I Do When I Arrive?

General parking will be in the Traditions garage, which is right off of Traditions Way, which transitions from S. Woodward Ave. For your GPS, our physical address is 874 Traditions Way, Tallahassee, FL 32306. Our building is attached to the parking garage, so you can get to Registration right through the first floor doors connecting the garage and building. Upon arrival at the convention, attendees will check in at the first floor of the SSB or in the first floor of the Globe. There will be separate lines for those who pre-registered, so consider going to 'Pre-Registration' under the Registration tab before the con to cut the line! You will be registered otherwise on the spot, and you'll receive a map of FreeCon's other spaces. You will also be checked here for inappropriate props or cosplays. If you have an inappropriate cosplay (see 'Cosplay Restrictions?'), you will be asked to change or wash before admission, and inappropriate props will simply be checked and kept for you to pick up when you leave.
