926 Bar & Grill will be hosting the fourth annual FreeCon afterparty Saturday night, from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Join us for a night of great music with DJ Brian Gladden and a few surprises as well. Admission is just $5 for 18+

This will be an in-person event with limited capacity. There will be a temperature check at the door and masks must be worn when not seated.

Tournaments & Streams: League of Legends, OSU!, Animal Crossing and More!

The FreeCon 17 Video Game Room will be hosting events organized by FSU E-Sports, ASLC Gaming, the Tallahassee Fighting Game Community, and our own FreeCon Staff. These include a League of Legends tournament Friday, March 12 through Sunday, March 14 and an OSU! Tournament on Saturday, March 13. There will also be an in-game giveaway and stream for Animal Crossing: New Horizons hosted by our staff. Discord

FreeCon 17 will be held virtually via Discord. Visit our Artist Alley and Vendor Hall, chat with fellow guests, or attend an activity like our Maid Cafe, Murder Mystery, and Karaoke Room. The Convention will be open for everyone at 6:00 PM EST, March 12th, but you can join our Discord Server today!

Twitch

The official FreeCon 17 Twitch channel will host a Q & A with our talented Media Guests! It will also host an Animal Crossing island visit with in-game giveaways. Video game tournaments and exhibitions will take place on affiliated Twitch channels. Links to other channels will be provided with our final Schedule.

About Us

FreeCon is a free-entry convention that has been running for 16 years now. We are Tallahassee’s premier anime and gaming convention, all while serving as a welcoming place to fans of any genre or franchise. FreeCon hosts events such as our Maid Cafe, Cosplay Contest, a Video Game Room, Panels, and so much more! We also invite talented Media Guests each year, including respected voice actors from your favorite shows. Every year we strive to provide our wonderful attendees with the best experience we can give them.

FreeCon 17 will be held from March 12 through March 14, 2021 on Discord, Twitch, and other remote platforms. In past years, we filled up the Oglesby Student Union to capacity with over 2,000 participants per day. However, due to the ongoing pandemic and concerns for public health, FreeCon 17 will be hosted entirely online.

FreeCon is staffed by dedicated volunteers who work the entire year in advance to ensure the convention’s success. We strive to be a positive outlet for both local Tallahassee businesses and other organizations that represent our appreciation of alternative culture. Cosplay Contest

Enter a contest showing off your cosplay! Attend the convention for pre-judging and be a part of our Cosplay Contest video compilation that will be shared to all our attendees and FreeCon YouTube channel. There will be certificates and prizes for the winners. Sign up through the Event Page below!

Join others in video game sessions scheduled throughout the convention! We will have game sessions and tournaments hosted by FreeCon staff as well as co-sponsoring organizations: ASLC Game Committee, Tallahassee Fighting Game Community, & Esports Club at FSU!

Live out your rockstar dreams! The FreeCon 17 Karaoke Room will be held on our convention Discord. The room host will pull up your favorite anime song, and you can sing to your heart’s content. There is no judgement at FreeCon!
