“No masks between us; I see the real you.”
– Cordelia R.
Personality:
Cordelia is the more taciturn sibling as compared to her more outgoing sibling Callahan. She is reserved, but spends obscene amounts of money to try to make up for what she is lacking socially. Because of this, some nobles refer to her as “Daddy’s Princess”. In social settings, she constantly flaunts her money to make others envious of her; she causes everyone to either want her or to be her. Due to her upbringing, she has developed villainess undertones.
As for Callahan, he’s the life of the party. He’s usually drinking at social gatherings and is always spotted around groups of people. To outsiders, his free spirit makes him look like a fool. However, he uses drinking as a social tool. If he drinks more, other people drink more. Sometimes he can overdo it without realizing, but it is all a part of his charm.
Callahan is now traveling around the world, engaging with different cultures, meeting new people, and cultivating his artistry skills. Cordelia is now studying to lead her family’s household in place of Callahan, much to their Father’s displeasure.
Cordelia & Callahan are described as the black sheep of their respected family. Because of this, their bonds as twins grew stronger than ever; they stick close to each other because they are both ‘outcasts’.
They mask their true selves not only for the benefit of family, but also for their personal goals.
Callahan fills the social role for his sister while Cordelia fills the intellectual role for her brother. He is making up for what she lacks and vice versa.
Their Childhood:
When Cordelia was merely 4 years old, she took an extreme interest in the books her Father would read while she peeked on him in his study. After she stumbled upon her family’s extensive library, she became engrossed in reading and spent countless hours in the library; it became like her second home.
Cordelia read a variety of books as a child, but favored historical or financial literature; these books sparked a passion in her unlike ever before.
Absorbing what the textbooks in the library said, Cordelia saw the society she would be immersed in and took that to heart. She came to value extreme wealth and refuses to be inferior to others.
She grew up to be a very practical person who can easily push her emotions aside. Cordelia leads with her head, and not heart.
When Callahan was around 10 years old, he discovered a hole in the family’s stone wall while skipping his math lesson. Spontaneously deciding to go through the opening, he eventually found his way to the neighboring town. In that small town, Callahan met countless interesting people.
Growing up hearing about exhilarating traveling stories from his uncle, it inspired Callahan to crave adventure. His ambitions to grew from a flame to a bursting fire.
Ultimately, the hole was covered up once his Father learned of his escapades, but his yearn to explore never ceased, even with age.
He grew up to be an utter romantic who is endlessly and hopelessly passionate. Callahan leads with his heart, not his head.
